Spear Fishing
The blue lagoon in between the house reef loop as well as the reef front is crowded with multicolored, big and small fish for you to target practice Hawaiian sling. Sweetlips, Permits. parrot fish, snappers and trevally are common target fish for Hawaiian Sling fishing. As The government has banned use of spear guns, we only fish from Hawaiian Sling.
Family Fishing
The abundance of marine life is a source of attraction for not only divers , but also for passionate snokelers. Different species of colorful coral reefs make up the flora of this underwater city with more than 700 species of fishes and other aqua marine life. Large pelagic or fishes that live in open ocean flourish in the crystal clear water of the lagoons where the tides moves in and out. While snorkeling in Maldives, you can also see sharks, turtles, and anemones, schools of sweetlips, eels, octopus and rays. In the late summer and during the fall, those participating in snorkeling can see mantas and whale sharks which are a very impressive and interesting sights.
Live Bait Fishing
Pole and line fishing using sprats anchovie as live bait has been the main commercial skipjack fishing in Maldives. When we designed our boat Alpha Royale we maintained traditional live bait well in the hull. This traditional live bait wells do not need mechanical circulation as naturally water is continuously replanished.
We target Marlin and Yellowfin Tuna in deep sea using scad as live bait.ng.

Bottom Fishing
Bottom fishing has been the main commercial fishing method for reef fish in Maldives. Different methods of deep drop bottom fishing can be used from our boat. Live bait, fish cut bait or deep drop jiggin are popular methods used in bottom fishing. The list of target fish is very long. Red snappers, Groupers, Jacks, scarlet and green job fish, breams, dog tooth, and yellowfin are popular target fish worth mentioning.
